Inside Pictures 2025: Wrapping Up a Dynamic Start in London

After an energising and insight-packed week in London, Module 1 of Inside Pictures 2025 has officially wrapped.

Kicking off with icebreaker drinks at the Everyman Cinema and culminating in a packed agenda of industry sessions, this year’s cohort wasted no time getting immersed in the business of film and television, from development through to global distribution and exhibition.

We were proud to welcome 34 speakers across 20 sessions, representing a cross-section of the industry’s leading voices. Highlights included:

  • Alex WaltonAndrew Orr and Alex Gardner Smith on the shifting State of the Value Chain.
  • Sol Bondy and Minh Nguyen bringing international perspectives on co-production and distribution.
  • A behind-the-scenes look at development with Katie SinclairMartha HoodDaisy Mount and Simon Hatton.
  • And a lively closing panel from Amazon MGM Studios, featuring Tom LieberLauren BaconBharat Sharma and Jack Spence, offering a deep dive into global content strategy.

One of the most talked-about sessions came from Jonny McCausland of Hat Trick Productions, whose session on AI tools sparked lively debate in the final participant debrief — signalling just how urgently this technology is being considered across all corners of the industry.

We’re grateful to our funders ScreenSkills and Amazon MGM Studios’ Ascend, and to our sponsors at Lee & Thompson for hosting us throughout the week.

As ever, the programme’s strength lies in the generosity of its contributors, the ambition of its participants, and the enduring bond of our alumni — many of whom return to share their expertise and speak candidly about the realities of the industry. Module 1 set the bar high. With relationships forming, projects developing, and ideas already flowing, we’re excited to regroup in Los Angeles this September for Module 2.

Next stop: Hollywood.
