Module 1 Kicks off in London

Module 1 of the Inside Pictures programme is well under way in London this week. The participants gathered for Icebreaker drinks on Sunday evening ahead of an intense week of sessions including daily panel discussions: The State of the Value Chain, The Development Process, The Real Business of Acquisitions, The Distributor’s Perspective and the Exhibition Landscape, chaired by Wendy Mitchell. The participants will get to to hear from a wide range of professionals in each field.

Returning speakers included Tim Bevan from Working Title, Andrew Orr from Sky Cinema and Christos Michaels from Lee & Thompson. New speakers include Gabrielle Stewart of Hanway Films , Anthony Andrews from We Are Parable and Paul Hillier of Tysers.

The participants were warmly received by BFI Film Fund Director Mia Bays and Senior Manager Katie Ellen with a dinner with funders and sponsors at The Union. Later in the week participants will meet fellow alumni, friends of the programme and members of the UK film industry at a Networking Event co-hosted by Ingenious Media at their offices on Golden square.

Module 2 in September will see the much awaited return to LA for an in depth look at the US film industry, including both studio and independent production, and will meet with senior US talent agents and managers as well as the major streaming services.
