Module 3 of this year’s Inside Pictures course wrapped today after a week-long workshop in London. The focus of this last training module was personal and business development as well as a focus on the project work, which is due to presented in the final Module in January.
There was a lot to get through for the participants. After 2 case studies of how to build and sell a company by Matthew Justice and alumnus Jakob Abrahamsson, project work was examined by experts from different areas of the industry including Alison Thompson of Cornerstone Sales and Andrew Woodyat, marketing.
Day 2 was dedicated to the ins and outs of managing a business and financing creative projects, crowned by a dinner, at which this year’s cohort met their alumni mentors. For many of them it was the first time they met and the positive dynamic in the room felt like a good start for fruitful mentoring relationships. Andrew Cripps, Inside Picture 2016 Ambassador, was our special guest and Jill Tandy thanked Andrew for his valuable services and continuing support. Cripps is due to move to Los Angeles to head up international Distribution for Fox and will continue to support and speak on IP during our L.A. module.
Wednesday was dedicated to various case studies of diverse business. The last 2 days were dedicated to personal and skills development covering a wide range of areas designed to improve leadership skills. This part of the programme is led by Dd Solomon with the able support of Ivan MacTaggart and facilitators Laurence Brown and Phil Rymer.
Another social highlight included an Alumni networking reception, hosted by Lee & Thompson, one of IP’s most loyal supporters and hosts of Module 1 and part of Module 3. The 2016 cohort had a chance to meet many of the over 200 strong alumni network.
This year Module 3 was also kindly supported by Entertainment One, hosting part of the course at their premises.
Next for the participants are the final presentations in January, topped by the graduation reception attended by many of the Inside Pictures alumni, speakers, sponsors, supporters and friends.
